TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Ernest Howard Griffiths, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date21 December 1896
DescriptionWith reference to Griifths' enquiry concerning the non-delivery of 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society', Harrison draws his attention to the notice on the wrapper of 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' which states that Fellows only receive 'Transactions' if they call for them or send a written application. Such an application may be filed as a standing order, and this ensures the despatch of volumes at no cost and as soon as possible after they have been issued.

Theodore E James, who files such orders, has not been able to locate one from Griffiths. Further, Harrison notes that the only form he recalls from Griffiths was completed soon after his election to indicate that he wishes only to take series A of 'Transactions' and in volume form.
