TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Sir William Huggins, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date22 July 1897
DescriptionMr Wesley has been preparing a drawing of the Corona from the photographs obtained by Sir G Baden Powell's expedition. In 1886 Wesley performed a similar service using the photographs of [Arthur] Schuster and [E Walter] Maunder, and he was then allowed to add a short account of how the drawings were made, 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' 180, 1889 page 347. Wesley now applies for leave to adopt a similar course and Rucker is writing to Powell and the referee's to see if they agree.
