DescriptionAcknowledges Sharp's letter of the 15th enclosing a copy of a letter from Sir William Flower relating to an application from the Sandwich Islands Committee for a grant from the sum placed by the Government Grant Committee in the hands of the Council of the Royal Society for administration in urgent cases.

Regrets that the whole of the Fund in question has already been voted for the current year by the Council and that the application of the Committee cannot, therefore, be entertained at present.
