DescriptionIn reply to letter of 17 [February], expresses gratitude on behalf of the President and Council of the Royal Society for the prompt action in the matter of the protection of Kew Observatory from the effects of the proposed Electric Tramways in its neighbourhood.

The President and Council are prepared to nominate Professor A W Rucker and Professor J Perry as their representatives to assist in drawing up the clause suggested. Foster is communicating these names to the Assistant Solicitor to H.M. Treasury, from whom a letter has been received.
