DescriptionHarrison, at the request of the Chairman of the Mathematics Committee, encloses Henrici the reports [not enclosed] by Professor Darwin and Major MacMahon on Messrs. Pearson & Filon's paper, 'Mathematical contributions to the Theory of Evolution. IV 'On the probable errors of frequency constants and on the infinence of random selection on variation and correlation.' The draft recommendation to the Committee of Papers on the paper in question, is that the Committee recommend that Messrs Pearson & Filon's paper should be printed in full in the 'Philosophical Transactions' and that the remarks of Professor Darwin might be laid before Professor Pearson with a view to his future work.

The original manuscript can be sent if neccessary and the Chairman is prepared to call a meeting of the Committee for a verbal discussion if required. Harrison asks that Henrici responds to the Chairman (Professor G H Darwin) and forward this letter with the reports to another member of the Mathematics Committee in the order named below:
Professor Hill, Professor Elliott, Dr Hobson, A H H Love, Professor Darwin.
