DescriptionAs delegates nominated by Hamilton to represent India at the International Conference held last October to further the preparation of an International Catalogue of Scientific Literature, the Society reports that in order to carry out the resolutions adopted at that Conference, the Society has addressed the President of the Asiatic Society of Bengal on the subject, and requested him to move that Society to undertake, in concert with other Scientific Bodies in British India, the constitution of a local bureau.

Annexes a copy of the Society's letter to the Asiatic Society [not enclosed] and requests that the Government of India be invited by Hamilton, to give such support to their proposals as will indicate their general approval of the objects which it is desired to attain.
