Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster [Royal Society] |
Date | 23 March 1888 |
Description | Before he puts Foster's new certificate into type, Rix proposes an alternative option of altering the text on the front and back of existing copy and encloses a marked copy [not included] to demonstrate, with words underlined in red to stand first and possibly be printed in thick type.
A postscript conveys the opinion of the Royal Society's president, George Gabriel Stokes, that as the Council did not know there was any instruction on the back of the certificate that the minute should be omitted and the matter brought up at the next Council. |
