Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir David Gill, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 29 October 1900 |
Description | Encloses a draft report to the Council which Harrison has compiled from the minutes of Gill's two meetings on the subject of the African Arc, and which Professor [Arthur William] Rucker agrees with Gill would be well to present to the Council as an ad-interim report in order to keep the matter alive and on record in the minutes. Asks Gill to look over the report and return it with any corrections and signed, he will then lay it before Council.
Draft report details how the Committee think the work should be divided into two parts and states that a resolution in favour of the scheme has been unanimously passed by the International Geodetic Association. |
