TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Lord Joseph Lister, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date31 January 1901
DescriptionThere is a matter which Harrison ought to have mentioned to Lister when he was at the Society. Sir William Gowers mentioned that a Dr Townsend is returning to Rhodesia [Zimbabwe] next week after working for three months at the School of Tropical Medicine, Albert Docks. Gowers recommends Townsend be asked to cooperate in the Malaria investigation, and Foster asked Harrison to suggest to Lister that if he approves of the suggestion, Lister would perhaps ask Townsend to call on him and give him some direction as to what inquiries he can carry out.

Sir M Foster thinks that a conference between Townsend and Dr Stepehens might be useful, if there is time to arrange it. Provides Townsend's address.
