Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Oliver Joseph Lodge, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 5 November 1901 |
Description | Is advised by Dr Foster Morley, Director of the International Catalogue, that the issue of the volumes of the Catalogue will begin early in 1902. How long it will take to get all the volume out Morely does not say, but Harrison supposes they will all be issued during the earlier part of the year.
As to whether the University of Birmingham would need to subscribe to the whole set of 17 volumes covering all branches of science, Harrison hesitates to advise. Personally he thinks is advisable to take all the sectional volumes. Suggests they take a complete set of the first year and they will then be better able to judge their needs. |
