DescriptionThe Council have instructed Foster to invite him to join a delegation to represent the Royal Society at the celebration of the centenary of the birth of Niels Henrik Abel, to be held at the University of Christiania from the 5 to 7 of September.

Other Fellows who it is understood will be present are Dr Henry Frederick Baker, Professor Andrew Russell Forsyth, Professor Horace Lamb, Professor Augustus Edward Hough Love and Major Percy Alexander MacMahon. Asks him to send his reply as soon as possible.
