Title | Copy letter sent from Sir William Huggins, to the Vice Chancellor of the University of Cambridge |
Date | 12 February 1903 |
Description | President and Council today came to the conclusion that it would be fitting for a medal or some other memorial of their distinguished Fellow, the late George Gabriel Stokes, to be placed in an appropriate position in Westminster Abbey. Stokes belonged to both the University and the Royal Society, so Huggins wonders if they would desire to collaborate on the subject. |
