Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor George Howard Darwin, [Fellow of the Royal Society] |
Date | 2 December 1902 |
Description | The reasons why the National Physical Laboratory is included in the Year book, and such institutions as the Meteorological Office are not, is that for the former institution the Royal Society has a direct responsibility, whereas the Meteorological Office is included among those Institutions upon which the Royal Society is represented. If Darwin considers that it would be more useful to the Fellows to have information on such subjects in the Year Book, and he makes a definite representation to the effect, Harrison is sure it will be considered with the careful attention which any proposal of Darwin's would receive. The question of expense would come under consideration, especially on account of the recent issue of a new edition of the Record in which all the particulars referred to have been inserted. |
