Title | Copy letter from Sir Michael Foster to, [Lieutenant Colonel David] Bruce, [Fellow of the Royal Society] |
Date | 10 April 1903 |
Description | Sending a lot of papers on Sleeping Sickness which have come from Lisbon. The Committee decided that Dr Castellani's report should be sent to the 'Lancet' and the 'British Medical Journal'. Out of malice or stupidity they said the report came from the Royal Society, rather than from the author's own responsibility. Foster wrote a disclaimer, but does not know if it has not been published. Dr Annibal Bettencourt now sends a note to be read before the Royal Society. Foster explains why this can't be done, and that everything is being sent to Bruce. |
