| Description | Foster has received his letter and manuscript on the Etiology of Sleeping Sickness and other papers. Foster explains the misunderstanding surrounding the publication of Dr Castellani's paper. It was not published by the Royal Society, it was sent to the 'Lancet' and 'The British Medical Journal' who failed to state that it was a communication from the author. The Royal Society is not responsible for it. When the Royal Society does publish its own report, full justice will be done to the valuable investigations of Bettencourt and his colleagues. |
