Title | Copy letter from Joseph Larmor, to John Young Buchanan, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 23 March 1904 |
Description | Larmor states that although Buchanan's paper had been subject to references prior to being read, as a consequence of his going abroad, it was read before any report had been received. The report, extracts of which were sent to Buchanan, was the only one on the paper.
As he now knows Buchanan's wishes in relation to the report, Larmor is ordering the paper for publication in Proceedings of the Royal Society, though both the report and his letter need to be formally submitted to the Committee in justification of this course of action.
Larmor suggests those who assisted Buchanan in his investigation at Edinburgh would be best placed to determine for him the other elastic moduli of his opinions.
The proof will be sent to Buchanan. |
