| Description | Rix explains the reason for the apparent irregularity is because the Royal Society Officers decided that the new regulation 'carriage prepaid' applies only to prospective volumes beginning with this year. Old unclaimed volumes fall under the previous regulation. As a consequence new volumes have been sent by post in one batch, and parcels of the old volumes are being made up . Tilden's will be sent almost immediately as it was not overlooked. |
