TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, [Royal Society]
Date25 February 1889
DescriptionUpdates on matters of Royal Society business.

Rix notes that they have finished making copies into the Challenger book, so Foster need not return them for that purpose. Sir William Turner visited the Royal Society and asked what had happened at the Committee meeting the previous Thursday. Rix told him nothing but promised to write and ask Foster to let him know how things were and what the Society was to do. Mr Murray is on his 'wedding-tour' and Turner had been asked to watch over the interests of the Challenger Report.

Rix is sending some 'forward' paper, and asks if Foster would like some 'backward' paper too. He is short of it at the moment, but will soon have a stock from the printers, and asks if Foster likes the surface.
