TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Joseph John Thomson, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date26 September 1889
DescriptionSends thanks for Thomson's note and encloses three groups of documents [not included].

Proof of the text of Professor Richard Threlfall's paper with a proof and original of a small woodcut for the paper.
Originals of tracings, of which Rix asks whether they are to be reproduced due the lack of a reference to them in the text. If they are to be included, Thomson needs to indicate where they are to be placed, and which, if any, non essential parts may be omitted.
Proof of plates and originals, with the originals to be returned with the proofs. Rix points out that one was smoked by a fire which occurred on the engraver's premises.
