TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir William Ramsay, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date20 March 1905
DescriptionSir A Geikie has sent Ramsay's note with the letter from Professor Bose, and asked Harrison to let Ramsay know how the matter stands.

The final decision on the paper was not taken by Council until 19 January 1905, and was unfavorable to publication. Official notice to this effect was sent to the communicator of the paper, Professor Vines. The unusual course was taken of sending Bose a special explanatory letter, written by the Chairman of the Sectional Committee at the request of the secretaries, and was despatched to Bose on 15 February. These communications apparently had not reached Bose when he wrote to Ramsay on 1 March.
