Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Andrew Noble, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 4 October 1905 |
Description | Nobel's letter enclosing a note which he wishes printed at the end of his recent paper on explosives has put Harrison in difficulty as, when the letter arrived, the paper was already printed off, and is now published.
The correction Noble had already sent in his erratum page will be incorporated in the remaining sheets for the volume of the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' by reprinting the sheet, and Harrison will endeavour to get an erratum page inserted in the separate paper copies that have already been issued. Harrison's additional note came too late to deal with in this way, and Harrison has consulted Professor [Joseph] Larmor about it, and he suggests that the only practicable way to deal with it promptly is to publish it as soon as possible separately in the 'Procedings'. Asks if this meets Noble's wishes. |
