Date21 November 1905
DescriptionThe Royal Society have this year awarded their Copley Medal to the Ambassador's distinguished countryman Professor Dimitri Ivanovitch Mendeleeff, for his chemical and physical investigations. The President and Officers feel this offers special grounds for them to hope that the Ambassador will attend the Anniversary Meeting at which the medal will be presented on 30 November. It is hoped that if Mendeleeff is unable to attend, the Ambassador will receive the medal on his behalf.
