TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Edward Alfred Minchin
Date4 May 1906
DescriptionHarrison explains that, since receiving the Colonial Office charges for subsistence allowance and furniture, which, together with an estimate for subsistence allowance for the rest of the time Minchin was in Uganda, they thought would cover the expenses connected with the Commission, they have received two additional claims from Crown Agents for sums amounting to almost £300. These unforeseen costs exceed their estimates upon which they had based their scheme for the Sleeping Sickness enquiry this year. He cannot reconcile some of the charges with what had gone before, and so asks that Minchin visit the Royal Society to discuss the matter, suggesting Monday would be preferable as the Soirée will present a disturbance on Tuesday and Wednesday.
