Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Robert Kidston, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 10 May 1906 |
Description | Harrison explains that they have discussed with a representative of Waterlow the matter of the illustrations to Kidston's paper in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, and concludes that the four plates will be in collotype as he wishes. With regard to the text, Harrison lists the three difficult blocks for printing and discusses the preparation of the blocks and the paper to provide the best result, suggesting in the latter case that the paper be rolled to improve its surface, and noting that they do not use ordinary 'art' paper as it is not durable.
He asks that Kidston writes to say whether he approves of Harrison's proposals concerning his paper. |
