TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Hugh Longbourne Callendar, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date29 May 1906
DescriptionHarrison reports on the paper by Professor Frank Watson Dyson, 'Determinations of Wave-length from Spectra obtained at the Total Solar Eclipses of 1900, 1901, and 1905'. Both referees, Sir William Huggins and Hugh Frank Newall, have reported favourably, with Newall suggesting publication in 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' as it represents an important summary of results from three different eclipses and is probably the final report on the subject.

The author believes the paper is not very long, and he would be glad to have it printed in either Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society or Proceedings of the Royal Society, and will leave the decision with the secretaries. Professor Joseph Larmor has suggested that it should appear in Proceedings, and printing can be begun under Standing Order 33 once Callendar minutes his opinion.

The paper is to cost around £30, and take up 40 pages of Proceedings.
