TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Albert Charles Seward, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date11 February 1907
DescriptionRegarding Dr Fritsch's paper on 'The Anatomy of the Julianiaceae, considered from the Systematic Point of View', the second referee Professor Isaac Bayley Balfour has not yet reported. Has reminded Balfour of this, but the question of whether accepting the paper for reading remains unsettled. Dr Scott preferred to have the matter until the referees had reported. The first referee, [John Bretland] Farmer, did not think the publications of the Royal Society formed the proper medium for Fritsch's memoir. It is a supplement to a paper by W B Hemsley on 'The Julianiaceae, a New Natural Order of Plants', which is going ahead for publication in 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. Asks Seward whether he agrees with Scott, or if the paper should be accepted for readingon 21 February.
