TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Professor Arthur Schuster, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date11 March 1907
DescriptionCouncil might agree to the Vienna proposal that the motion for an auxiliary language be put on the agenda, leading Schuster to support the Vienna amendment, and the the proposal from Madrid may also be put on the agenda. But it would be well if Schuster could give Geikie his opinion on the Spanish suggestion, the Council will be no doubt guided by his advice. Geikie would advise the Council to take no steps at present on the claim of the Royal Irish Academy, but to consider what representation from the country and the colonies would be desirable.
