Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Albert Charles Seward, Fellow of the Royal Society, Chairman of the Botany Sectional Committee |
Date | 19 March 1907 |
Description | Dr Dukinfield Henry Scott's report on Fritsch's paper 'On the Anatomy of the Julianiaceae' has been received, and it is not favourable for publication in 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. Scott says the paper has great merit and value as recording careful and accurate investigation, but he thinks it is too special a character for that publication. He recommends that the general conclusions as to the affinities of the new natural order should be published in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' as a fuller abstract. The reports on Fritsch's paper and Groom's paper have been received, and will now be available for the Committee on Thursday. |
