Description | Upon his return from his Easter holidays, Geikie has found the papers relating to the addendum by Walker to his recent papers. He agrees with Martin's decision not to allow Mr Hardy to write privately to Professor Charles Sherrington on the subject, but suggests that in the interests of harmony and of time-saving, he could send the enclosed memorandum to Sherrington and ask that he intervene, pointing out to Sherrington the necessity of bringing the matter before the Committee of Papers should Walker decline to modify his reference to Matthew's work. Geikie hopes, in view of recent events, Walker will be willing to amend his postscript in the manner the referees suggest. He would also send Walker's postscript so that Sherrington has all the evidence before him.
Geikie requests that Martin return the memorandum with his opinion on it. |
