TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Professor Arthur Herbert Church, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date14 June 1907
DescriptionThe Council of the Royal Society have considered Church's letter and specimen proof of his Index of Classified Papers, and send thanks for Church's services in the matter and their consent to the publication. They agree to his suggestion that there should be a number of impressions of the page with the 1840 Catalogue of Manuscripts, possibly an edition of 250, due to likely public demand for copies, and the Society would be willing to pay the expenses and hold them for sale or presentation should Church wish to be relieved of that responsibility. The Council of the Society concur with the suggestion made in Church's preface that the matter may be further advanced with the help of experts on special subjects.
