Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Albert Charles Seward, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 16 July 1907 |
Description | Harrison summarises the referee's report by William Bateson on A D Darbishire's paper, 'On the result of crossing round with wrinkled peas, with especial reference to their starch grains', communicated by Professor John Bretland Farmer. Bateson recommends publication in Proceedings of the Royal Society without alteration, but suggests the paper could be adequately illustrated with one plate, but he doubts that the existing figures could be fit on one plate. Harrison clarifies that the author intended the illustrations to be printed in the text, which would cost around one pound and 10 shillings, with one plate costing considerably more.
Harrison asks that Seward minute his opinion as Chairman regarding what action is to be taken about the paper. |
