Description | Harrison explains that they are seeking two registers of the Antarctic observations, namely a roll of earthquake records and a bound manuscript book of horizontal pendulum records, and as they are not at the Royal Society he wonders if Shaw has them. He details the custodial history of the records, with Harrison having received them in 1906, he then gave them to Archibald Geikie, who wrote to and met with Mr Bernacchi on 23 January, and similarly met with Shaw, taking the volumes with him to Shaw's office on 14 February, after which point they have not been seen.
Harrison would be grateful if Shaw could write to say whether the records are located anywhere in his office. |
