Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Dr Louis C Bernacchi |
Date | 26 July 1907 |
Description | Has received Bernacchi's of the 23 and also the 'Auroral Journal'. These notes will be printed and proofs will be sent so that Dr Wilson can[?] re-draw about a dozen of the most typical forms of Aurora. Has written to Wilson to ask if he can do this. Wilson is busy in Scotland over the Grouse disease. Has asked Wilson the first time he is in London to call at the Society's rooms and look at the Journal.
Regrets the delay that has taken place in the Meteorological part of the Antarctic work. If they can make up a good volume of the physical material he thinks they may as well get it out without waiting longer.
They must not inflict work on Bernacchi whilst he is on holiday but Geikie wonders if he would not mind revising proofs of anything which may have been put into type. An introductory note from Geikie to the Aurora work would be very appropriate and welcome. |
