Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Charles Chree, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 23 November 1907 |
Description | Geikie thanks Chree for his explanatory letter, and states that the question of Antarctic Magnetic curves is not so urgent as to require interruption of his work concerning vertical force troubles, and he will leave the matter in his hands. The Royal Society are anxious that all the magnetic work of the expedition should be published as soon as possible, but Chree must be allowed to decide on the order in which the work is to take place.
When the curves are selected and made ready for reproduction, Geikie anticipates that the work will not take the engravers long. He also thanks Chree for his letter of the previous day with returned proofs of the pendulum, which will receive immediate attention. |
