Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Ramsay Heatley Traquair, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 25 November 1907 |
Description | In response to his letter of that morning, Harrison states that as it is often a rush between the Anniversary meeting and the dinner, some Fellows of the Royal Society arrive at the meeting already dressed [for dinner]. Alternatively, if he left immediately after the medal presentations, without waiting for the election of the Council and Officers, he would likely have the time to return to his hotel [to change] and out to the Whitehall Rooms [for dinner], especially if he makes use of the 'Tube railways' which will practically transport him door to door. |
