Description | In reply to Inglis' letter of 10 December, Harrison lists three Monros who were Fellows of the Royal Society, with only the first, elected in 1723, with the name Alexander. The other two are Donald Munro, elected April 1766, and Charles Munro, elected in 1821. He would be happy to send any further information, and explains that he found this information in the list they have printed in the Record of the Royal Society, which should be in the Advocates' Library and has been published for some years. |
