Description | Geikie notes receipt of a paper entitled "Sunshine" detailing the Antarctic observations, unaccompanied by a covering letter, with no note of the author's name, and not listed in the contents of the Meteorology volume which Shaw sent. He presumes it is from Shaw's station, but wants definite information on the three illustrations, and on whether it is intended as a distinct memoir or as part of the one for which he has already supplied the contents.
The only paper on Shaw's list which they are yet to receive is "Notes on Prefourse & Weather Phenomena" by R A Gortes, but he spoke of a general paper on Antarctic Climatology which he thought would be included. His general preface which came with the material is in sheet, and he is certain that Shaw will be glad to see it finished. |
