Description | 'Dear Sir, In reply to your postcard of the 26th instant: the only way of obtaining the publication of the results of your experiments by the Royal Society is by your preparing an account of your research in the form of a paper, and by having it communicated to the Royal Society by a Fellow. A paper thus communicated would be considered on its merits with a view to publication by the Society, and the preliminary nature of the paper could be indicated by the addition of some such words as "Preliminary Communication" to the title of the paper.' |
