Date19 July 1909
Description'Dear Professor Ewart,
With reference to your letter of July 6th, and my reply, I have been in communication with the Secretaries of the Society and they have requested me to forward you the exact terms of the resolution of the Zoology Sectional Committee on your paper, and to ask you whether you are willing that the Abstract should be published in the 'Proceedings' [of the Royal Society] as recommended by the Committee. They also confirm what I have already said, that although under the Statutes the Manuscript remains in the Archives every possible facility will be given to you with a view to the publication of the paper in a more suitable way, even to the extent of lending it to you for the purpose.'
