DescriptionWith regard to Mr [David] Thoday's paper this is was happened; acting on Oliver's suggestion the paper was refereed to Horace Brown, who recommended it for publication in the Proceedings [of the Royal Society]. Professor Bradford then received a letter from Dr Blackman raising the question of the length of the paper for the Proceedings and the question was laid before the Committee of Papers. It was agreed to send the paper back to the communicate, who together with the author is now considering whether to condense the paper.
