Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Ian Mac Alister, Royal Institute of British Architects, 9 Condult Street, W |
Date | 12 May 1910 |
Description | 'Dear Mr Mac Alister, In reply to the question in your letter of yesterday, I do not suppose we shall display any mourning decorations on the front of our part of Burlington House as it only faces into the Quadrangle and not on to the street. The Building being a Government Building, anything that is done on the Picadilly frontage must be a matter for the Office of Works. We did nothing at Queen Victoria's funeral.' |
