Title | Copy letter from Joseph Larmor to Professor B [Bertram] Hopkinson FRS |
Date | 8 July 1910 |
Description | 'My dear Hopkinson, Your letter was read to the Physics Committee. They decided however that they could not depart from their principle, that measurements on materials unless they establish a law, are more suitable for the publication of Engineering or other technical societies. I am to say that the Council would however gladly publish the abstract sent with your and Sir R Hadfield's paper in the Proc[eedings of the Royal Society] now, and would assent to its being extended up to twice its present length, viz:- about eight pages of print. IT will be a question for you whether you withdraw the complete MS.' |
