Description'Dear Sir,
I have the pleasure to inform you that the President and Council have nominated the following gentlemen to represent the Royal Society at the Congress of Botany to be held at Brussels in May next:-
Lieut Colonel D [David] Prain, CIE, FRS [Fellow of the Royal Society], Director Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew.
Robert Kidston, LLd, FRS [Fellow of the Royal Society].
I gather from the printed documents which have been sent that a subscription of 15 francs is required from the Royal Society and on hearing from you that this is correct a Money Order for that amount will be sent to you.'
