TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Professor Ernest William Hobson, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date12 June 1912
DescriptionAs Hobson is taking an active part in the reception of some guests of the Royal Society at Cambridge, Geikie would like to know a few points. Presumes that Cambridge means to invite only the foreign and colonial delegates with perhaps a few Fellows. There are at present about 90 foreign delegates, and 20 colonial. Some 30 of these are bringing wives or daughters. Asks if he is allowing ladies. Or if he would like to choose their guests like Oxford.
