Description | 'Coming up to town today & find awaiting me your letter of 21st in reply back I would refer you to my letter of [?] in which I explained why there are no address in a number of cases. The delegates did not all come with addresses and simply conveyed verbally their felicitations. A good many of the institutions only send brief telegrams. I shall carefully go over the addresses again to make quite sure that none have been left out. I don't [?] there can be any omissions for your photographer had the whole of them given to him. They will be best checked when the whole of the proofs are received from you. I had hoped to be able to send you the preliminary or narrative part of the book last week. It is now completed and I expect to be able to let you have it before the end of the week.' |
