| Description | 'The paper by Schryver which you communicated the other day has been duly considered by both the Chairman of the Sectional Committee and the Secretary of the Society, and they agree in thinking it a suitable paper for publication by the Royal Society, but more suitable for Proceedings according to the standard of the Standing ORders, which Council and Committee have lately been trying to enforce with somestrictness. I am therefore desired by the Chairman to ask you if you think this paper could be materially abbreviated, and if so, whether you would use your influence with the Author to get this done.
As the paper stands we estimate it would occupy about 50 pages of Proceedings.' |
