TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor E [Edward] A [Alfred] Minchin FRS
Date25 November 1912
Description'The Zoology Sectional Committee last weel went into the whole question of the illustrations of Miss Robertson's papers, and in the end came to the conclusion that we cannot do better than avail ourselves of your kind offer to get the figures redrawn on a larger scale so as to be reproduced by photographic reduction in half-tone blocks. This decision was arrived at on the assumption that the redrawing will consume no more time that drawing on the lithographic stone,; so I hope you will be able to expedite the matter as far as possible because we are anxious to get the paper out withour any avoidable delay.
The Committee at the same time decided that her shorted paper should be published as an abstract in the Proceedings, and that the diagrammatic illustrations, which will reproduce at trifling cost, should be published too; so that you wil be able to use these as you desired as soon as the Proceedings paper is ready. I am sending with this the plates of the figures for the Transactions paper for Miss Rhodes to get to work upon. I enclose the result of the half-tone block made from the enclosed drawing and I shall be glad to hear that you think it satisfactory.'
