Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Miss Muriel Robertson, Kampala, Uganda |
Date | 19 May 1913 |
Description | Her letter of 13 April reached Harrison during the Whitsuntide holidays, and he acted upon it before sitting down to reply. The Toluene has been ordered of Baird & Tatlock, but they are not allowed to send it by post so it is going by boat, hopefully that will not delay delivery. The author's copies of her papers have been ready for some time and await instructions regarding distribution. They are being sent now.
A copy of the last Sleeping Sickness report was sent to her last week immediately after the receipt of her letter. Her paper 'Notes on the behaviour of a polymorphic trypanosome' send on 3 November last year, has not been treated as a Royal Society paper. Sir John [Rose] Bradford has arranged to have it printed in part thirteen of the reports of the Sleeping Sickness Commission. A copy shall be sent as soon as it is published.
Hopes the climate it bearable.
Contains manuscript postscript explaining that Baird & Tatlock are sending more than one bottle of Toluene as it is so volatile one will one be left after the journey. Copies of her three recent papers are being sent. |
