| Description | 1. Plimmer reports favourably on the paper by J G Thomson and D Thomson on 'Growth and sporulation of malarial parasites' but says it can be shortened considerably, and one page of plates instead of three would suffice. The Biological Secretary thinks the authors should be consulted.
2. Plimmer reports adversely on the paper by Blacklock and Yorke on 'The trypanosomes causing dourine'. He says the animals on which the experiment mainly rest are guinea-pigs, in which there are often notable differences in the morphology of trypanosomes. The crucial experiments of inoculation of horses with the three strains have not been done. The Biological Secretary suggests the withdrawal of the paper. Asks if Hardy concurs in this being suggested to the communicator, Sir R Ross. |
