Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Miss Constance Hill, Grove Cottage, Frognal, Hampstead, N.W. |
Date | 29 April 1913 |
Description | The Secretary of the National Trust has sent on to the Royal Society a copy of a letter of Hill's calling attention to the risk of destruction of Newton House, and has appealed to the Society to take some steps with a view to its preservation. It is very unlikely that the Royal Society will be found to have any power to take effective action in the matter, but before the question can be considered it is necessary to know the exact danger with which the house is threatened and the parties who threaten it. Enquires if they are private individuals or a public body. The National Trust seems to know nothing about it. |
